To support our continuing growth, OIG is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Corporate Trust team which provides custody services for equity, fixed interest, commercial loans, agriculture and property funds in addition to trustee and agency functions in structured finance and other transactions. You will work closely with the Manager and the wider team on daily activities for all corporate trust related matters.
The Corporate Trust team provides a diverse range of quality services to fund managers, trustees, responsible entities, non-banks and other clients in the financial services, corporate finance, debt capital markets and other industries. Some of our specific services include:

Your position
Working closely with the Corporate Trust team, you will:
- Be part of a small team within the Corporate Trust (Custody) business unit
- Manage your own clients and assist with servicing clients across the various services offered by Corporate Trust
- Process and review custody transactions on behalf of our clients as well as bespoke and other complex transactions across the wider team
- Liaise with external solicitors, other advisers (e.g. accountants) and clients in connection with transaction documents/structures
- The accurate and timely review and monitoring of information, transactions and reports as provided to the client and internal teams
- Engage in business development tasks to increase revenue for the business unit and business
- Accountability for own client workload and tasks
- Engagement and management with internal and external (clients and outsourced service providers) and OIG board members
- Act as the principal point of contact for the client at OIG and the maintenance of the ongoing relationship. Be the initial escalation point for clients and action feedback/requests accordingly
About you
The ideal candidates will be proactive, ‘solutions orientated’ and innovative. Working collaboratively with your business colleagues, clients, external service providers and lawyers (external and internal) and keeping cool under pressure are important attributes.
You will be called upon to manage various priorities across the team, contribute practical, commercially astute advice and drafting to enhance the Corporate Trust services and ensure our services meet the highest standards and our clients’ expectations.
What you’ll need to succeed
- A Bachelor’s degree or similar desirable – all relevant disciplines welcome (Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Business, Economics or Law)
- At least 3 years experience in a client facing role from a financial services business and good general corporate experience or understanding
- Experience in the Australian custody market including global custodians highly desirable
- Experience in settling trades for equities and managed funds and reviewing and negotiating transaction documents across the various services will be highly regarded
- Knowledge of registered and unregistered management investment schemes
